Zach Pruitt
Managing Director / Broker
With twenty years of commercial real estate experience, Zach Pruitt has built his career from the ground up—progressing from broker to Managing Broker and executive leadership—through a consistent commitment to performance, integrity, and results. His leadership approach is grounded in a true player coach philosophy: leading from the front, producing at a high level, and setting a standard of clarity, discipline, and long-term value creation.
In addition to his leadership experience, Zach has maintained a strong and successful brokerage practice throughout every stage of his career. He has represented a broad mix of clients—from individual owners and local businesses to institutional investors and Fortune 500 companies—across Chicago and more than fifty markets nationwide. His diverse transaction history spans multiple asset types, including Trophy Class A office, loft and adaptive reuse properties, warehouse and distribution facilities, data centers, R&D and life sciences, and land for development.
As Managing Director at Baum Realty, Zach focuses on helping property owners maximize asset value through strategic marketing, leasing initiatives, repositioning strategies, and sale disposition advisory. He also represents tenants, investors, and developers in site selection, acquisitions, and dispositions, with a deep understanding of Chicago’s distinctive neighborhood submarkets. Zach brings his combined brokerage track record and executive leadership experience to Baum with the intent to contribute meaningfully to the firm’s continued growth, strengthening the brand presence, and expanding market share across its service lines.
Before joining Baum Realty, Zach held roles in brokerage and executive leadership with Cawley Commercial, NelsonHill, and DTZ/UGL Equis (now Cushman & Wakefield). Zach remains actively engaged in the commercial real estate industry, participating in executive development programs, continuing education, and brokerage mentorship initiatives.
Beyond his professional life, Zach’s greatest priorities are his roles as a husband to his wife Lee, and father to their two daughters. He is deeply involved in his family’s Parish and school community and enjoys the time he spends supporting his two daughters’ activities. A certified youth soccer coach, he stays active through coaching, training, and a long standing passion for endurance sports — having completed nearly 50 triathlons, including the Ironman Boulder.
