Ari joined Baum in 2018 as the founder of the Urban Office & Industrial Division, bringing with him 17 years of combined experience in commercial real estate and finance. Prior to joining Baum, Ari spent 8 years as a broker at Jameson Commercial where he specialized in investment sales, commercial leasing, and investment advisory services. A top agent there, year after year, he was Jameson Commercial’s top producing agent in 2017.
Ari possesses a unique background having worked as a financial analyst on Wall Street prior to his career in real estate. His underwriting and financial modeling expertise, combined with his strong negotiating skills and deal making prowess, allows Ari to effectively serve his clients’ interests in a multitude of ways. His experience includes a wide variety of asset classes including office, industrial, retail, multi-family, and development land.
Ari holds the highly regarded Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, the LEED-AP designation, and is a licensed real estate salesperson in the State of Illinois. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan with a concentration in finance. Ari was recently named as one of Crain’s Chicago Business Most Influential Commercial Real Estate Brokers of 2017.
Jackie joined Baum in 2015 and serves as an Associate in Baum’s Investment Sales division. Jackie’s focus is to grow and development new business on a local and national level.
Prior to joining Baum, Jackie worked at Mid-America Real Estate Group in suburban Chicago. During her tenure there, Jackie adapted and grew her knowledge base in various departments within the company including accounting, property management and client relations. She was responsible for actively participating in request for proposals (RFP) for new business, assisting in tenant lease language negotiations, developing and implementing procedures to properly quote triple nets for prospective tenants, abstracting and enforcing legal documents (inclusive of tenant leases and OEA agreements), and overseeing the due diligence process for property acquisitions and dispositions. Furthermore, she was responsible for managing property funds by overseeing cost control and addressing tenant receivable issues to collect delinquencies consistently in order to meet projected NOI. Jackie was also responsible for completing annual budgets, conducting strategic reviews, financial variance analysis, and market overviews for both institutional clients and sole proprietors.
Jackie is an active member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and a licensed Illinois Real Estate Broker.
Jackie earned her bachelor’s degree Cum Laude with a double emphasis in Finance and Management/Organizational Behavior from Benedictine University, where she was a member of her collegiate volleyball team. When not in the office, Jackie can be found playing co-ed sports along the lakefront, traveling to new places, or spending time with family and friends. Jackie currently resides in the River West neighborhood of Chicago.
An investment sales veteran with 13 years of brokerage experience, Brad Teitelbaum leads the nationally recognized Net Lease Division at Baum. Brad focuses on the acquisition and disposition of net lease and multi-tenant transactions featuring deals such as the Apple Store and Forever XXI in Lincoln Park and Lululemon in the Gold Coast. Brad has completed over $300,000,000 in deal volume from coast to coast in the last few years alone including recent sales of Hobby Lobby, Panera Bread, CVS, Walgreens, Chipotle, Wells Fargo, Starbucks, McDonald’s, Chase Bank and many others.
Brad began his real estate career at Grubb & Ellis while attending Arizona State University, where he graduated with degrees in both Communication and Business. Brad has been featured in multiple publications including Crain’s, Illinois Real Estate Journal and Real Estate Bisnow.
Brad lives in downtown Chicago and has been a member of Young Real Estate Professionals, ICSC, Urban Land Institute, Illinois Restaurant Association and also spends time volunteering with multiple organizations including: Other Side of the Green, Inspiration Kitchen and PAWS.
Patrick Forkin is a Vice President at Baum and co-leader of the firm’s Retail Investment Sales practice. With more than 11 years of experience in retail commercial real estate investment sales, Patrick has transacted or advised on aggregate sales of more than $1.5 Billion. Since 2014, the Investment Sales Team has closed over 160 sales transactions in over 15 states, with a total value of over $580 million. Recent transactions Patrick has completed include Walgreens, Chase Bank, 7-Eleven, McDonald's, Starbucks, Chipotle, and Verizon, among others.
Patrick is a licensed real estate broker in Illinois and Missouri, and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Urban Land Institute and Young Real Estate Professionals of Chicago.
Patrick graduated with honors from the University of Missouri, earning his bachelor’s degree with a triple emphasis in Finance, Real Estate, and Economics. He also interned with Jardine Lloyd Thompson in Dublin, Ireland.In his free time, Patrick enjoys traveling, playing ice hockey, tennis, golf, and spending time with his family and friends.
Tyler joined Baum in March 2018 as an Associate. Tyler works on both leasing and sales assignments for Baum’s Urban Office & Flex and Investment Sales Divisions. A vital team member, Tyler has made key contributions to multiple successfully completed sales and leasing transactions. Tyler’s primary focus is on all aspects of property due diligence and underwriting. Additionally, he provides landlord representation services and market analysis to a portfolio of office and flex-industrial properties throughout the greater Chicago area.
Prior to joining Baum, Tyler held an analyst position at Simon Property Group (NYSE: SPG). During his time at Simon, Tyler prepared lease analysis on rent spreads, occupancy, kick-outs for key retailers, and prepared all applicable bills in accordance with lease terms and resolved tenants’ problems regarding billings and lease language.
Tyler is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Urban Land Institute (ULI), Young Real Estate Professionals (YREP), and The Junior Council of Lurie Children’s Hospital. Tyler is a licensed Illinois Real Estate Broker.
Tyler was born in Northbrook, IL and graduated from Butler University, earning his bachelor’s degree in finance. When not in the office, Tyler can be found on the golf course or spending time with family and friends.
Ben joined Baum as an analyst for the Net Lease team within the firm’s Investment Sales division. At Baum, Ben is responsible for assisting with all aspects of property due diligence, underwriting, research, and marketing for commercial real estate investments and dispositions.
Ben graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning & Services. While at school Ben spent a semester abroad in Barcelona. Ben also held internships at AERIE Preferred Financial Group and NorthMarq Capital where he was able to develop a deep understanding of investment planning and strategy for commercial real estate owners and investors.
Ben is a member of ICSC and YOBA (The Young Office Brokers Association of Chicago). When not at the office Ben can be found on the soccer field, the golf course or spending time with friends and family.
Phillip joined Baum in August 2019 as an Investment Sales Analyst. A vital member of Baum’s Investment Sales team, Phillip is responsible for conducting research and due diligence for single and multi-tenant triple net sales transactions. Prior to joining Baum, Phillip held an asset management position at the CIM Group where he oversaw tenant and vendor relations, event management, facilities maintenance and financial transactions for a retail centers in Chicago and Geneva IL, including Block 37. During his time CIM, Phillip built strong communication skills and developed a collaborative approach to working with real estate buyers, seller, brokers, and tenants. While in school, Phillip Interned with the John Buck Company as a tenant services coordinator.
Phillip was born in Louisville Kentucky and graduated from University of Dayton with a bachelor’s degree in Communications Management. Phillip is a licensed real estate broker in Kentucky and Illinois. He lives in downtown Chicago and is an active member of the Young Real Estate Professionals (YREP). When not in the office, Phillip can be found playing the drums or practicing Ju-jitsu.
