Michigan Avenue for BPG Properties, five shopping centers for DIKA Management, 208 S. LaSalle Street, 11 S. LaSalle Street & 10 E. Delaware Place for The Prime Group and McClurg Court for Charles E. Smith. He has also completed assignments on behalf of Angelos-Frigelis Properties, Broadview Village Square, Fifield Co., Fulcrum Asset Management, Triple Net Properties, Transwestern, Education Advancement Fund, Albertson’s (Jewel / Osco), Tower Realty Management, Syndicated Equities, TPG Realty and Diversey Metroplex Partners. Allen has completed land sales of between one and 80 acres, successfully negotiated lease terminations, consulted for the Chicago Transit Authority and Mesirow-Stein, as well as brokering approximately $30 million of investment sales transactions on behalf of DIKA Management.
Allen has been recognized for his achievements by the Commercial Forum, a division of the Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR) on numerous occasions. He was awarded Broker of the Year for Tenant Representation in 2006, 2007, and 2008 and was the recipient of the Jimmy John’s Top Producer award in 2008. He was also awarded the Top Retail Leasing Broker distinction in Chicago by CoStar.
Allen is an active member of the Ely Chapter of Lambda Alpha International having served on the board, including as President, for 6 years, The Realty Club and the International Council of Shopping Centers on the State Board. He is an advisor for the Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC), a non-profit organization serving underdeveloped communities. He also serves on the Project Review Committee of the Greater North Michigan Avenue Association.In addition, Allen was selected to join an elite group of real estate industry leaders as a mentor with the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation, wherein he provides guidance to students interested in pursuing a career in real estate in 2014.
In his spare time, Allen is an avid soccer player and bicyclist. Participating in the MS Tour de Farm is an annual event for the Joffe’s. The ‘Gold Spokes’ distinction for being one of the top fundraisers has been bestowed on Allen since 2012.
Allen graduated from Illinois State University in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
Adam Secher has been a partner with Baum Realty Group, LLC since 2001. Representing both landlords and tenants, Adam has fostered long term relationships with retailers and restaurateurs throughout Chicago’s most desirable retail corridors.
As a founding member of Baum’s Luxury Division, Adam spends time with landlords and tenants specializing in the fashion and lifestyle categories. He is responsible for the recently completed flagship Gold Coast stores for Marc Jacobs, Saint Laurent, Anthropologie’s new BHLDN Concept, Brioni, Madewell, Perchance, Starbucks, Le Pain Quotidien, Vans and Warby Parker.
As one of Baum Realty’s restaurant specialists, Adam’s clients include Starbucks, Chipotle, Union Sushi, Roka Akor, Tortoise Club, Fish Bar, DMK Burger Bar and a variety of local independent restaurants. He also represents numerous landlords including the Waldorf Astoria Chicago, Repak Development and Golub & Company. Adam possesses an intimate knowledge and understanding of Chicago’s retail communities including the Gold Coast, Lincoln Park, Bucktown and Wicker Park.
Adam is past vice-chairman of the Chicago Association of Realtors’ Commercial Forum committee and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers where he sits on the committee for the Illinois ICSC State Committee. Previously, he served as co-chairman of the Chicago’s Next Generation committee.
Adam earned his Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin in 1993.
Janika Brenner joined Baum Realty Group, LLC in October 2002 after spending five years in public relations. A founding member of Baum’s Luxury Division, Janika specializes in the representation of fashion, lifestyle and home furnishing retailers, as well as Landlord representation in key urban markets including the Gold Coast, Lincoln Park, Bucktown / Wicker Park, River North and select upscale suburban areas. She possesses in-depth knowledge of Chicago’s retail scene with a specific focus on the luxury sector.
Janika has represented numerous institutional and entrepreneurial owners in the successful leasing of their retail space. Among her notable assignments are serving as the exclusive leasing agent for Waldorf Astoria Chicago where she arranged leases with Saint Laurent, Marc Jacobs and Perchance; the leasing of 8-12 E. Walton Street to BHLDN (Anthropologie’s wedding concept); the merchandising and leasing of The Shops on Fremont in Lincoln Park to Anthropologie and Williams Sonoma; and the leasing of 210 W. Chicago Avenue to the ultra-luxury women’s retailer Blake.
Since 2004, she has completed more than 15 transactions in the Bucktown neighborhood helping to transform the area into one of Chicago’s most sought-after retail destinations. Those transactions include such notable retailers as Scoop NYC, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Nanette Lepore, American Apparel, Levi’s, BCBG and Joe’s Jeans.
Janika received a bachelor’s degree Magna Cum Laude from Tufts University. She currently resides in Lakeview with her husband and two children.
Carol Lockhart joined Baum Realty Group in October 2006, launching the Indiana office of Baum. Serving as Baum’s principal broker for the state of Indiana, Carol’s joining Baum demonstrates the continuing growth of the company.
Carol provides a unique service to Baum Realty Group by specializing in Tenant Representation for the entire state of Indiana. She currently represents FedEx Kinko’s, Bo-Rics, Beef O’Brady’s, Trade Secret, Kay Jewelers and Primrose Schools Franchising Corporation. She is also actively assisting in the expansion of other Baum Realty Group clients to Indiana.
Before beginning her career in commercial real estate, Carol managed the Indiana office of ING Financial Services specializing in retirement plans for hospital and school employees statewide.
She is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Indiana branch of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW).
Carol graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts.
Will Crowden specializes in the sale and leasing of urban and suburban retail properties. Over his fifteen-year career, Will has worked closely with many institutional property owners and developers on the product side, and has exclusively represented many local, national, and international tenants in the Chicago market and several throughout the country. Will can effectively service a small growing brand and has earned the reputation of being a national retail specialist acting as the real estate point person on multi-unit national roll outs. Will has been a leader in the commercial real estate industry for more than 15 years, and has successfully represented dozens of property owners including Macerich, Newcastle Limited and The Sterling Bay Companies and has also performed extensive workout services with many local and national banks, including Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase Bank and MB Financial, helping them dispose of numerous troubled assets. Will is a trusted advisor to several retailers – including Fortune 25 and 200 companies. He has exclusive relationships with Marathon Petroleum, Starbucks Corporation, Blaze Pizza, PDQ, MedSpring Urgent Care among others.
Prior to joining Baum Realty Group, Will served as a Vice President at Jameson Commercial, where he primarily focused on the sale of retail properties and net leased investment properties, retail leasing and landlord representation. Will’s additional experience includes serving as a Senior Associate for Sperry Van Ness, a national commercial real estate firm in Chicago, where he worked on the sale of commercial condominiums and the leasing of commercial space, in addition to landlord / owner representation and handling net leased investments. Will’s commercial real estate career began as an Asset Manager for Joseph Cacciatore & Company in Chicago, managing over one million square feet of commercial property throughout the Chicagoland metropolitan area.
Will served on the Board of Directors at The Chicago Association of REALTORS® (CAR) for two consecutive terms and was also the 2012 and 2013 Chair of CAR’s Commercial Forum Committee. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), a founding member of CAR’s Young Professionals Network (YPN) Advisory Board and a member of the Real Estate Investment Association (REIA).
Bob has over 20 years’ experience helping national and regional multi-unit companies to reach their expansion goals nationwide. He has also represented many corporate and institutional clients in marketing and leasing flagship properties throughout the Chicagoland marketplace. Sample representations include The John Buck Company (Plaza 440), Hines Development (Three First National Plaza), Lend Lease (Equitable Building and NBC Buildings), General Motors (Oak and Rush), City of Chicago (Richard Daley Center lower concourse) and the Novogroder Companies.
Bob has exclusively represented national chains such as Starbucks (80 transactions) and Washington Mutual (157 transactions in 2 a year period) as well as Harris Bank, FedEx Office, White Hen Pantry, Alonti Deli, Paul Harris Stores, World Savings Bank, Caffe Baci and Wet Seal.
Bob has put his stamp on Michigan Avenue by completing 2 Starbucks transactions at 440 and 500 N. Michigan Avenue. He represented Paul Harris on the second level of the Realtor Building and he represented the landlords at 555 N. Michigan Avenue and 200 N. Michigan Avenue where he was responsible for transactions including Chase, Starbucks, Parade of Shoes and Powerhouse Gym.
Bob also has significant experience in the Northwest Indiana and Wisconsin Markets with developments that include a 356-unit senior independent living apartment complex in Merrillville, IN.
In addition to being a real estate broker with licenses in Indiana and Illinois, Bob is an attorney with licenses to practice in Illinois and Maryland.
Nicole Cardot joined Baum Realty Group in 2010. She provides both tenant and landlord representation services with a focus on downtown Chicago and the surrounding suburban markets. Nicole exclusively represents Chipotle, Starbucks, Graeter’s, Dotty’s Café, McAlister's Deli, Olive Mediterranean Grill, ShopHouse, Insomnia Cookies, DMK, Blo Dry Bar and a variety of independent retailers and restaurants. She also represents numerous landlords including Campus Acquisitions, Akara Partners, Speedwagon Properties, GW Properties, Hines, and Newcastle Limited.

Nicole graduated from Indiana University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Apparel Merchandising. Dan Molnar joined Baum Realty Group in 2012. Dan focuses on retail tenant and landlord representation with a focus on downtown Chicago and the surrounding suburban markets. Exclusive representations include Dotty’s, Five Guys, Hurricane BTW, Jimmy Johns, Naf Naf Grill, Primrose Daycare and Starbucks, in addition to a variety of independent retailers and restaurants and landlords.
As a vital member of Baum’s Tenant Representation group, Dan has secured over thirty-five leases for tenants throughout Chicagoland. Previously, Dan worked as a broker at Colliers International where he helped establish their Chicago retail division. During his time there, he exclusively represented accounts such as Palm Beach Tan, European Wax Center, Granite City Food & Brewery and Ace Hardware.
Dan is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Young Real Estate Professionals and ICSC Next Generation. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Emory University where he was a member of the varsity baseball team. Dan is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Illinois.
Marcus Cook joins Baum Realty Group in 2016 bringing his expertise in the hospitality markets and his enviable track record to Baum’s tenant representation team, a client forward site selection team that has shaped the retail brokerage industry for twenty-five years. Marcus has represented a wide spectrum of clients by capitalizing on his deep understanding of the service industry.
Marcus gained invaluable experience and an incredible business network through his management roll with Chicago-based Gibson’s restaurant group. Marcus has a keen understanding of restaurant and bar operations, and routinely applies that knowledge in the representation of landlords and tenants as well as buyers and sellers of commercial properties.
In 2013 Cook shifted focus to multi-family distressed or under-performing assets as well as bank owned single family homes. Most recently, Marcus served in several brokerage roles with Conlon Commercial, including several years as their Managing Director, where he honed his reputation as an unwavering client advocate and tenacious broker.
Marcus earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from the University of Iowa.

She is specializing in temporary retail space for new concepts transitioning from eCommerce to physical locations.
Saira has been featured on the cover of Newsweek, India Today, Cosmopolitan, Elle, GQ, Marie Claire, Glamour, and in Vogue among many others. She has worked with designers & brands such as Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, Calvin Klein, Versace, Valentino, Emanuel Ungaro, Mercedes Benz, L'Oreal, Oil of Olay, Bloomingdale’s, Macy's, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Kohl's, Target, Saks Fifth Avenue, GAP, Kohler, Anne Klein, Wonderbra, and Victoria's Secret.
